Whether you’re after bold colour, a metallic sheen, or a subtle matte look, metal printing offers lasting beauty and a sleek, contemporary edge.
At Print 2 Metal, we offer six meticulously crafted indoor metal surfaces, each designed to elevate your images with exceptional clarity and vibrancy. Choose between a white base for true-to-life colour reproduction or a clear brushed aluminium base to infuse your artwork with a contemporary metallic sheen.
To achieve a true-to-life photographic look, the aluminium is coated with a specialised white polymer layer. Because dye-sublimation doesn’t use white ink—much like a standard home printer—the white areas in your image are represented by the white coating of the metal itself.
This white base enhances colour accuracy, contrast, and vibrancy, making it ideal for prints where faithful image reproduction is key.
Available in the following finishes:
Our most popular finish, delivering brilliant high-gloss visuals with vivid colours and sharp details—ideal for all image types.
A balanced finish that reduces reflections while maintaining rich colour saturation.
Offers a soft, natural look with minimal reflection, perfect for subtle and understated imagery.
Features a unique surface texture that adds depth and dimension, enhancing the tactile quality of your print.
This high-gloss finish delivers brilliant, saturated colours with exceptional detail, providing a sleek, modern appearance that stands out in any outdoor setting.
Offering a softer, non-reflective finish, the matt surface reduces glare while maintaining rich colour reproduction, making it suitable for locations with varying light conditions.
With a transparent coating over raw aluminium and no white ink used in the printing process, the natural grain of the metal is visible in areas where your image has white or light tones. Colours take on a striking metallic sheen, adding depth and a contemporary edge to your artwork.
For example, when printing a black and white image, the result appears as black and silver—thanks to the reflective aluminium base.
Available in the following finishes:
Combines a high-gloss finish with the raw beauty of aluminium, creating dynamic visuals that shift with the light.
Provides a sleek, non-reflective finish that allows the metallic base to subtly enhance your image.
Each surface is designed to complement different artistic styles and preferences, ensuring your prints not only look stunning but also resonate with your desired aesthetic. For a hands-on experience of these finishes, consider ordering our Standard Sample Pack, which includes a 4x4” print of each surface to help you choose the perfect match for your project.
It is difficult to show on a website the amazing colour and detail that makes ChromaLuxe metal so highly regarded as a premium print product.
You really do need to see it to believe it, so sample packs that show the different surfaces are available.
The Standard Sample Pack includes our standard image printed to 4x4” on each of the 6 different indoor metal surfaces.
If you have never seen metal prints before, this will help you decide on your preferred look for printing on aluminium.

Printing on metal isn’t just a modern choice—it’s a superior one. Through a specialised dye-sublimation process, inks are infused directly into coated aluminium using high heat and pressure. The result is a high-definition image with exceptional detail, colour depth, and a smooth, professional finish.
Metal prints are incredibly durable—resistant to fading, scratching, and water damage—and easy to clean with a standard glass cleaner. Available in a range of unique surface finishes, they’re ideal for everything from fine art and photography to commercial signage and home décor.
Our metal prints are created using high-quality aluminium sheets coated with a specialised liquid finish. As this coating cures, tiny air pockets may occasionally form, resulting in subtle surface variations such as small bumps or dimples.
While these are a natural part of the production process, we carefully inspect each sheet and position your image to minimise the visibility of any imperfections. These minor variations do not affect the overall quality or longevity of your print and are not considered grounds for remakes.
